This Privacy Policy explains how Nina Type (‘we,’ ‘us,’ ‘Nina Type’), operated by Ubaldo Ortiz Salinas, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit ninatype.com (the ‘Site’) or purchase a font license from us.
Who We Are
Nina Type is a type foundry operated by Ubaldo Ortiz Salinas, based in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. For any privacy-related questions, you can contact us at hola@ninatype.com
What Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Contact Form / Inquiries: If you reach out via a contact or commission-inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, and whatever details you choose to share about your project.
Purchases: If you purchase a font license through the Site, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your card details ourselves; we receive your name, email, and transaction details necessary to issue your license and invoice.
Newsletter/Mailing List: If you sign up to our newsletter, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name.
Cookies: The Site currently uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality (e.g. site hosting infrastructure provided by Framer). We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to inquiries and provide quotes
Process purchases and issue font licenses
Send you your purchased files and license documentation
Send occasional newsletter updates, only if you've opted in
Comply with legal or tax obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising or third-party marketing.

We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate the Site and fulfill orders, such as:
Framer (website hosting) / Stripe (payment processing) / Buttondown (newsletter mailing list and delivery) / Fondue (license purchasing records)
These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy and data protection obligations.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, or as required by tax/legal obligations (e.g. invoice records under Mexican tax law).
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hola@ninatype.com and we will respond as required by applicable law (including GDPR for EU/UK visitors, and Mexican data protection law — LFPDPPP — for data processed in México).

Nina Type serves clients internationally. By using the Site or purchasing a license, you understand your information may be processed in México or in the country where our service providers (e.g. hosting, payment processing) operate.
